Formosa Plastics Corporation was established in 1954 and is an internationally acclaimed PVC manufacturer. Just the Taiwan operations alone account for an annual production capacity of 1,265,000MT, if the US operations are taken into account as well, the total comes to 3,230,000MT/annum, making Formosa one of the largest PVC manufacturers in the world. Besides PVC resin, Formosa also produces caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, MBS (impact modifier), HDPE, EVA/LDPE, LLDPE, to name a few. Just the production capacity of Processing Aid alone covers 15,000MT/year.
